Firstly meet the team!

Sheran, our housekeeper for 10 years

The main man, Henry

Co-owner Roger

Sheran's son Jason

Now find out where we are!

We are located on a small hill overlooking Pigeon Island and Rodney Bay.
We are part of the Cas en Bas Road community which is a mix of locals, tourists and residents with holiday homes.
We have a small car park, most suitable for small cars or jeeps.
It’s a 5 minute walk to the Castries highway and buses, so guests without rental cars will need to do some walking.

Have a look at the rooms!

All our units have balconies with views over Rodney Bay and Gros Islet.
They are all self-catering with gas burners, fridge, electric kettle, toaster, coffee maker and microwave. They have a shower with hot water, wash basin and toilet. Fixtures and fittings are simple but rooms are comfortable and clean. They are cooled by powerful fans (but of course guests arriving from a cold winter will take a day or two to adjust). Electricity is 220 volts; we have adaptors but cannot for safety reasons provide 110v transformers (except for small electronic items).

Rooms are changed and cleaned twice weekly; guests wishing a daily service will pay a 10% service charge. Rooms are insect-screened and beds have mosquito nets although these are not normally required. We do not provide breakfast but can put breakfast ‘kits’ into rooms for US$4/person.

There are three units and each has its own character.

Sonya studio apartment

“Sonya” has a standard double bed and a single bed. It is the lowest apartment and so has fewer steps!

Ingrid 2-bedroom apartment

There are 2 small bedrooms each with a standard double bed and a sofa/single bed in the large living area. There is one bathroom.

Amanda studio apartment

Amanda is hidden away up some steps. It’s more rustic than the other rooms, with a kitchen on the balcony and two small balconies facing Pigeon Island. It is liked by the young or young-at-heart!

It has a double bed at one end of the long narrow room with a couple of small beds built in to the walls at the other end, popular with young children.

And the Public areas!

We have a local style wooden house which has a small bar and a lounge/office with a small library, computer with DSL connection and relaxing chairs to talk or read. It’s also the place to check us for information about what to do in St. Lucia. (Roger who is a botanist working on a flora of St. Lucia will be able to help you with information about out of–the-way places.)

What's around Us!

It’s a 5 minute walk down to the Castries highway and frequent buses to Rodney Bay and Castries. There’s a small supermarket and a bank at the junction and 2 larger supermarkets on the way to Rodney Bay. There are all styles of eating, drinking and party establishments in Gros Islet and Rodney Bay. Gros Islet town springs to life on Friday nights, while Wednesday, Friday and Saturday are popular nights in Rodney Bay.

Pigeon Island

A beautiful national park with beaches, history and walks. About 30 minutes walk. A lovely place to spend the day!

Photo of Pigeon Island taken from Gros Islet Beach.

Reduit Beach

Take the bus to Rodney Bay and walk 5 minutes.
Rarely crowded, but well-served with restaurants, bars and shade umbrellas!

The Atlantic Coast

30 minutes hilly walk from the guesthouse brings you to the Atlantic coast

First to Cas en Bas beach with safe bathing, a beach bar and plenty of horses

And for the adventurous a walk to the north of Cas en Bas brings you to the wild Donkey beach and cactus valley

Or alternatively walk south to the deserted Anse Lavoute.

(Or do both!)

What Our Guests have to say!

A comfortable apartment. A splendid view – what more could we hope for?
- Absalon family, France

I have been a regular visitor since 1996. That must speak volumes
- Doby, UK

Sorry we didn't have a chance to say a proper good-bye, but the taxi arrived early and we were off to the airport. Needless to say, our stay at La Panache was everything we hoped. Your generous spirit made us feel right at home and left us wanting to return. I will happily recommend your guest house to anyone thinking of going to the Caribbean
- Warren and Donna, USA

Très agreable séjour – la “Routard” à dit vrai
- Famille Valtier

Great place with a beautiful garden. We will miss Henry’s laughing
- Doris and Helga, Germany

Came for a week- stayed three and had to be kicked out in the end. Thanks to everyone for our best honeymoon so far!
- Paul and Kate, UK

One whole month at Henry’s and Roger’s place, it could not be better! Fantastic hospitality at a great location- when we return on the Arc Race again one day, we’ll be back at La Panache
- Harald and family, Norway

And of course there has to be a sunset picture from La Panache!
