As
the image above shows, we are located on a small hill
overlooking Rodney Bay and Gros Islet.
We are 20 minutes drive from
Castries and 90 minutes from Hewanorra airport. We
have three self-contained self-catering units for holiday rentals.
The
map shows the Gros Islet junction (Point A) and
La Panache (Point B).
We are part of
the Cas en Bas Road community which is a mix of locals,
tourists and residents with holiday homes.
We are a 5 minute (400 meter walk) down to the
Castries highway and frequent buses
to Rodney Bay and Castries. There’s a small supermarket and a
bank at the junction and 2 larger supermarkets on the way to
Rodney Bay. There are all styles of eating, drinking and party
establishments in Gros Islet and Rodney Bay.
Gros
Islet
Beach is a 20 minutes walk, Reduit Beach a short bus ride and the
Atlantic beaches a 30 minutes walk. Beausejour Cricket Ground
is 2 km away, Rodney Bay Marina a 15 minutes walk.
We
have two studio apartments and one two-bedroom apartment. Each
is
quite separate and has its own entrance and balcony with great views.
In addition we have a reception lounge.
We no longer have a bar or
restaurant but there are many
within a short distance. However we can put breakfast ‘kits’ into rooms
for US$5/person for arriving guests.
The
kitchen area has a three burner gas stove, fridge with freezer
compartment, microwave, kettle, coffee-maker and toaster and the usual
pots, pans, utensils and cutlery.
Each
unit has a shower with hot water, wash basin and toilet. Fixtures and
fittings are simple but rooms are comfortable and clean. They are
cooled by powerful fans (but of course guests arriving from a cold
winter will take a day or two to adjust). The two studios also have
air-conditioning. Electricity is 220 volts; we have adapters but cannot
for safety reasons provide 110v transformers (except for small
electronic items).
Rooms
are changed and cleaned twice weekly; guests wishing a daily service
will pay a 10% service charge.
We
can wash clothes for you, US$4/load.
There
is 24 hour, free wireless internet access in the reception area. A
computer
is also available in the reception area. The
apartments have wired and wireless internet access.
We
have a small car park for guests who rent a vehicle. To suit the
driving conditions in Saint Lucia, we recommend that guests
rent
small cars or short
wheel base
jeeps.

we didn't have a chance to say a proper good-bye, but the taxi arrived
early and we were off to the airport. Needless to say, our stay at La
Panache was everything we hoped. Your generous spirit made us feel
right at home and left us wanting to return. I will happily recommend
your guest house to anyone thinking of going to the West Indian-
